GENERAL AND MEDICAL INFORMATION 

Check with a doctor before using our facility if pregnant, diabetic, underlying health issues / concerns or under medical care. This includes any history of dizziness or fainting. This also includes any metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any surgical implants including silicon. By signing our waiver you understand the risks and have consulted with a medical professional. You understand and take full responsibility for your own health and well- being.

Anyone entering the saunas assumes full responsibility of their medical / health condition, to include but not limited to, any medications the guest may be taking which could result in a medical emergency or unsafe condition. All guests must know their own limitations and assumes all risks associated with any activities in which they may engage in while at The Wee Barra Sauna. 

We strongly advise customers to hydrate before entering the sauna, during and after your sauna sessions.

REDUCE THE RISK OF OVERHEATING & SCOLDS 

Prolonged exposure to the sauna may cause your body to overheat. We recommend limiting yourself to a maximum of fifteen 15 minutes. Everyone is different and we recommend you listen to your body. Overexposure to high temperatures and humidity can be dangerous to your health. Exit the sauna immediately if you begin to feel nauseous, uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy and contact a member of our staff.

Do not use the facility if you have recently consumed alcohol, drugs or medications. use at your own risk.

Be aware that direct contact with sauna rocks may cause serious injury. 

Any kind of metal in the sauna such as jewellery, watches, also glasses will retain heat and therefore is not suggested to bring into the heated rooms or use during your sauna sessions.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS 

I acknowledge the advice not to bring any valuable possessions to the sauna site and understand that The Wee Barra Sauna accepts no liability for lost, damaged or stolen possessions on our site. We try to be vigilant on our sites and take care of our customers, however it is the customer´s full responsibility to ensure safe guarding of all personal possessions at all times whilst on site.

Always use care when entering or exiting the sauna. 

Areas may be slippery, uneven and dangerous, caused by water, ice snow or other substances. Use of suitable footwear is recommended at all times.

I understand that the sauna is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension. If I experience any pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately exit the sauna. 

I acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the saunas. I voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident or death, which may arise from the use of our facility. I hereby waive and release The Wee Barra Sauna from any and all liability, past, present and future relating to sauna sessions.

I agree that this waiver is in effect for all sauna sessions and will not expire unless requested in writing by either party (The guest or The Wee Barra Sauna).

I further understand that staff working at The Wee Barra Sauna should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. I understand that the staff working at The Wee Barra Sauna are not diagnosing, prescribing, or treating any physical or mental illness and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such.

Phones or electronics don’t like heat. If you choose to use any electronics or technology during your sauna sessions, do so at your own risk. The Wee barra Sauna is not liable for any of your possessions.

I grant The Wee Barra Sauna, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs of me and my property. I authorise The Wee Barra Sauna its assignees and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically for such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.

Smoking and e-cigarettes of any kind are not permitted in our facility. No glass containers or bottles are permitted at any time in our saunas. 

All persons using our cold plunge barrels or the sea as a ‘cold plunge’ do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures and varying conditions of the sea. Please be aware that entering and exiting the barrels may be slippery.

CHILDREN IN OUR SAUNAS

Children are welcome in private sauna sessions only on condition they are supervised by an adult family member/guardian at all times.  Children are advised to sit nearest the door to ensure they do not touch the stove.  Please sign the form identifying your relationship with the child before entering the sauna. The form will consist of the following 

I/We …………………………………(full name) are the Parent/Guardian/Adult Family Member (please delete accordingly) of ……………………………….(minors full name) and sign to accept that we take full responsibility for the above named minor during the Sauna hire use

NUDITY & DRESS CODE

If you are to book one of our saunas for exclusive use, you’re welcome to use the sauna in the German or Finnish way. Clothing is compulsory if you are to book one of our social sauna sessions. We recommend a bathing suit. This is your experience and you should be as comfortable as possible. If you prefer to wear a t-shirt, wrap or robe that is your choice.

Towels are required to be used in the sauna. We require that you use them during your sessions for cleanliness. Please place a towel down on the benches prior to sitting down. Please sit on the towel so that it can absorb any sweat or perspiration during your session.

ALLERGIES

The sauna may use various essential oils and salts. Please use at your own risk. Leave the sauna immediately if you have any adverse or allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing or eye, nasal or throat irritation.

The Wee Barra Sauna may offer complimentary infusions. These infusions can contain essential oils and various ingredients. I understand that I am using and consuming at my own risk.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Scheduling an appointment is the reservation of time put aside specifically for me. I acknowledge a mutual understanding of the value of our time. 

However, we do understand that unforeseen circumstances can mean that the need to cancel a private session can occur. Please read our terms and conditions carefully.

PRIVATE BOOKINGS – For any cancellations on PRIVATE BOOKINGS before 48 hours of the session start time, we will refund the full amount (minus a 2.5% bank charge). Kindly allow 3-5 days for the refund to be processed. 

Any PRIVATE SESSION cancelled within 48 hours notice of the time and date cannot be refunded however we can reschedule under special circumstances.

PUBLIC SESSION – cannot be refunded. These sessions and events can be rescheduled for a new date ONCE before 48 hours of your chosen date and session time.

LATE ARRIVALS – I understand that showing up late for an appointment means I am reducing the amount of time I have booked. I also understand I am fully paying for the service I have booked. The Wee Barra Sauna unfortunately cannot adjust appointment times based on lateness.

I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL RISKS, DAMAGES AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND LOSS.

I acknowledge this waiver of liability form. I fully understand its terms and conditions and I understand that I am waiving and giving up my right to sue Wee Barra Sauna and any affiliated parties. I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement voluntarily and intend by my signature for this to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowable by law.
